Marie Claude holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Communication from the Université Laval, a Financial Planning certificate from UQÀM and a certification in Sponsorship Management from the Université de Montréal. In her career, Marie Claude has certainly left her mark.
In 1996, she became head of Media Relations and Sponsorship Management at CIBC. Four years later, in 2000, Marie Claude was appointed Executive Director of the Haut-Richelieu Chamber of Commerce. Under Marie Claude’s leadership, the organization was recognized as Chamber of Commerce of the Year for Recruitment in 2001 and Quebec Chamber of Commerce of the Year in 2006.
In 2009, Marie Claude joined Groupe Cogestion to oversee marketing and development. She also took on the role of spokesperson for Cogestion’s main project, the International Balloon Festival of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
With her sales savvy and skills in sponsorships and government relations, Marie Claude made a huge impact in the area of promotions for the Festival when she became the project’s Executive Director.
A valued part of our sponsorships team, she has excelled at developing major strategic partnerships for our events, including with Canada Economic Development, Tim Hortons, Les producteurs de Lait du Québec, Parmalat and Hydro-Québec.
