Paul Thouin is Chairman and Founder of Groupe Cogestion. He has been piloting the firm for over 30 years now.

With time, Paul channelled his activities in event management and sponsorship sales. Valued by industry leaders for his creative ideas and strategic vision, Paul turned events managed into instant successes by securing important sponsorships from national firms such as Laurentian Bank, Loto-Québec, Jean Coutu, Mr. Christie, Kraft, Gadoua, SAQ, Unilever, Sleeman, Labatt and more.

Under his passionate guidance for over 20 years, the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu has taken quite an impressive leap, becoming one of the country’s major events. In 1999, he was appointed with many distinguished prizes such as the personnalité Marketing du Québec, for his development strategy of the Balloon event, after making sponsorships rise from $ 53,000 to $ 1,500,000 in 5 years. Today, the event’s sponsorship agreements amount to over $ 7,000,000.

A born Entrepreneur, passionate in his work and a mesmerizing Public Speaker, Paul is a source of inspiration to his team and knows to guide them toward tangible results.

Catherine Thouin

Holding a bachelor of Communications and International Relations at the Université de Sherbrooke, Catherine counts to her 13-year credits a wide scope of experiences in the fields of communications and event planning.

In 2003, Catherine took charge of Events Management for the Desjardins Complex where she looked over many major events, all diverse in styles, from national shows to trade fairs, from press conferences to banquets and balls as well as public or in-house events for Desjardins.

Thanks to her determination, her sense of keen analysis and her desire of achievement, her role rapidly progressed. She saw herself confided with important mandates requiring a rigorous management to order to ensure cost-efficiency, multidisciplinary team management and delivery of impeccably thought-out events.Intuitive and versatile, Catherine brings an added value to the team through her thoroughness and acute sense of detail.

With a vast experience both in large companies and in event planning, it is with passion and determination that Catherine came aboard Groupe Cogestion to see after all new projects the firm manages.

Mariève Lemay

Sales and Sponsorship Strategist

Mariève Lemay

With a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, majoring both in Marketing and Advertising, Mariève has a profound understanding of media and marketing related communications.In 2001, she entered the adversing world through BCP’s door and worked on many diverse projects and challenges. Over the next 7 years, she was involved in important accounts for the transportation, healthcare, tobacco and car industries, department stores as well as gouvernement instances.

In 2007, Mariève chose to follow her true passion in media creativity. She mainly made her mark in new media while also building experience in TV and magazine worlds. During this time, she held many sales and sales director positions for national companies such as Rogers, TVA Sports and Jones Media. Known for her acute understanding of advertisement and numbers, her creativity and ability to develop long-term trustworthy relationships with clients, Mariève very quickly obtained positive sales results that put her ahead of the pack.With ambition and determination, she joined Groupe Cogestion as a Sales and Sponsorship Strategist and brought to the team, a new view on all questions media-and-sponsorship-related.

Josianne Hudon

An UQAM Bachelor graduate of Communications, Josianne began her work experience in events planning for Montreal’s Semaine de la Mode.

Throughout the years, she has developed a great experience in sponsorship management, sales and marketing, while promoting an exemplary approach to serving clients. These qualities allow her to manage projects with rigour and an acute sense of excellence in mind.

A passionate and determined leader, she has a natural talent for events coordination and a great sense of versatility. Her creativity, experience and skill set make her an excellent Sales and Sponsorships Project Manager for Groupe Cogestion.

Since joining Groupe Cogestion’s Executive Direction over 20 years ago, Rachèle has showcased with mastery her capacity to continuously innovate and adapt administrative and team support practices.

She is remarkably versatile and and her sense of clientele service and human interaction are impressive.

Marie Claude Beauvais

Marie Claude Beauvais

A graduate of a Baccalaureate in Public Communication from the Université Laval, a certificate of Financial Planning obtained at UQAM and a certification in Sponsorship Management from the Université de Montréal in hand, Marie Claude Beauvais has definitely made an impression as a leading professional.

In 1996, she became head of Media Relations and Sponsorship Management of CIBC Bank. Four years later, in 2000, Marie Claude was chosen as the Haut-Richelieu Chamber of Commerce’s General Manager, a position proudly held 9 years. In 2001, a mere year after her appointment, the organization was named Recruitment Chamber of Commerce of the Year. The merits of Marie Claude Beauvais and of those of her team were once again applauded in 2006, winning the ultimate Quebec Chamber of the Year.

In 2009, Marie Claude took on a new role for Groupe Cogestion as Marketing and Development Director. She has notably been Spokesperson for the main client event’s various Public Relations since. Marie Claude’s competencies are certainly to be accounted for in 2010, when she took on the title of Executive Producer of the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. She plays an important role in the sponsorships team since she was able to create strategic alliances to develop key partnership with major actors such as Canada Economic Development, Tim Hortons, Les producteurs de Lait du Québec, Parmalat, Hydro-Québec…
